The Race for Planet 'X' Logo

You have been transported into the future to a time when several generations have been living and working inspace. A new planet has been discovered at the remote edge of the galaxy revolving around a distant sun. Scientists have dubbed it "Planet 'X'. Little is known about the planet, so you and other crew members have been dispatched to gather geologic samples, map the surface and search for signs of life.

Everyone hopes the planet might be a resource for the precious element Nostradimium, which is used in high-tech equipment. But, wait! We've just learned that the evil Dr. Nogood is rushing toward the planet at this very moment in search of Nostradimium, too! He is known far and wide as the pillager of the galaxy, destroying planetary ecosystems in his quest for precious minerals. We must reach the planet before Dr. Nogood and protect it from his destructive Race for Planet 'X' Links ways. Join us as we engage in . . . The Race for Planet 'X'!!!

A Museum on Wheels
This exciting experience is a "museum on wheels" with 10 interactive exhibits designed to engage visitors in engineering skills. Children and adults will execute assignments on computer aided design, aerodynamic testing and laser beam splitting to gather information about Planet 'X'.

Pre-trip and post-trip programs for school groups teachers after the exhibit experience will reinforce engineering skills and scientific concepts. All exhibits and lessons have been aligned to the Arkansas Science Education Framework.

We Can Roll to Your School
The mobile museum is available to 6th grade classes in schools across the state of Arkansas. To learn how to bring it to your school, please email planetx@amod.org.quake table

The mobile museum is also available for other events and venues when not scheduled for school visits.
